Excitement in Aggieland: Twin Brothers Move into Texas A&M Dorms as New Students Arrive

As the summer comes to an end, the city of College Station, Texas is buzzing with excitement as thousands of new Texas A&M students move into their college dorms. The streets are busier, the restaurants are packed, and the stores are bustling with activity as the Aggie move-in weekend takes place from Thursday through Sunday.

Among the incoming freshmen are twin brothers Benjamin and Nathan Williams, who are starting their new journey at Texas A&M University. Despite the hot and sweaty work of moving into Walton Hall on campus, the Williams brothers are filled with excitement for this new chapter in their lives.

“I’m looking forward to making new friends, going to most of all the football games,” shared Nathan, while Benjamin expressed his excitement to immerse himself in the Aggie community by joining various organizations and FLOs.

Dr. Carol Binzer, director of Administrative & Support Services for Texas A&M University Residence Life, mentioned that around 11,000 college students are expected to move in over the weekend. She advised everyone to be cautious on the roadways as students navigate their way around town.

The influx of students into Aggieland is not only exciting for the university but also for local businesses. Jeremiah Cook from Visit College Station highlighted how businesses in the area prepare for the fall semester by renovating and ensuring they are ready to welcome students.

Despite the lines at restaurants and longer commutes, the energy that the students bring to Aggieland is palpable and infectious. As the city gears up for the first home game of Aggie Football against Notre Dame on August 31, even more visitors are expected to flock to the area, bringing with them a sense of excitement and community spirit.

So, as the new Aggies settle into their dorms and begin their college journey, the city of College Station is alive with anticipation and energy, ready to embrace the vibrant atmosphere that comes with a new school year.
